When a completely innocent Bella has her life turned upside down, she finds herself hardened, angry, and refuses to take it anymore. She used to pine for Edward, but is now indifferent. Edward, once a slightly cocky jock who set out to humiliate Bella, finds some truths to the loss of his parents, making him slightly rebellious, stand-offish, and completely detached.
